FaceReader™ 7 is the premier professional software for automatic analysis of the basic facial expressions (happy, sad, scared, disgusted, surprised, angry, neutral, and contempt). With the new Deep Face Model, FaceReader is now able to analyze expressions under more challenging circumstances, even when parts of the face are hidden.

The software can now also estimate the heart rate of the participant by means of remote photoplethysmography (RPPG). This technique measures the small changes in color caused by changes in blood volume under the skin epidermis with just a normal webcam. This add-on module can give you additional information about arousal and offers better insights into the mental state of a participant.
